Hona allows you to collect important information from clients by sending them secure, custom forms. This article explains how your clients receive and respond to those forms.

How Clients Receive the Form

When a form is sent through Hona, the client will receive a notification via email or text message, depending on their preferred communication method.

The message includes:

  • The Notification message that was set up in the settings of the form

  • A secure link to open and complete the form

Example of a form notification message:

Opening and Completing the Form

After clicking the link, the client is taken to a secure form page in their browser (or in the Hona app if it has been downloaded by the client) —no login required.

What they’ll see:

  • Your firm’s branding, or the Hona logo

  • The form title and any instructions

  • The questions in the form

Example of the form experience:

Form progress is saved automatically so clients can navigate away from the form and return at any time to complete it.

What Happens After Form Submission

  • You’ll receive a notification that the form has been completed if your notification preferences are set up to be notified when a form is completed.

  • Form responses are automatically saved and linked to the client’s project.

  • You can view, download, or export the data at any time from the project.
