The Hona Browser Extension works by storing information in the "cache" of the browser. Errors (especially the "content is clocked" error) are typically due to the cache of your browser being full, which makes it so the Hona Browser Extension cannot function as expected. If you are receiving any errors, please try the troubleshooting options below.

Refresh the Page

Sometimes, simply refreshing the URL in your browser can temporarily clear up space in the cache and allow the extension to work properly.
If refreshing doesn’t resolve the issue, move on to the next step.

Clear Your Browser's Cache

Clearing your cache is the most common fix for errors in the extension. Instructions vary by browser—use the links below to find steps for your specific setup:

After clearing the cache, refresh the page again and test the extension.

Update Your Browser

An outdated browser can contribute to cache issues. Some browsers are configured to clear cache automatically, but this function may not work well if your browser isn’t up to date.

We also update the extension frequently to be current with the most recent browser versions, so it is always wise to make sure you're running the latest version of your browser.

Remove and Reinstall the Hona Extension

If you have tried to resolve your problem using one of the other method without success, we would recommend removing and reinstalling the Hona Browser Extension. Removing and reinstalling the Hona Browser Extension will:

  • Install the latest version

  • Clear out any stored errors or corrupted data

Be sure to fully remove the extension and re-download it from your browser’s extension store.
