🔗 Integrating Salesforce or Litify with Hona

To connect Salesforce (or Litify) with Hona, you’ll need to create a custom app in Salesforce and configure a few settings. This guide walks you through the setup process step by step.

Note: Most integrations are customized. Before getting started, make a copy of the mapping template and review it with your Hona onboarding representative.

🛠️ Step 1: Create a New Connected App in Salesforce

🔑 Step 2: Get Your App Credentials

  1. After saving, you’ll be taken to the app details screen.

  2. Click Manage Consumer Details.

  3. Verify your identity (Salesforce will prompt you).

  4. Copy both the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.

  5. Paste these into the Salesforce integration card in your Hona account.

⚙️ Step 3: Finalize Your Integration

  • If you’re using a Salesforce Sandbox, make sure to select the Sandbox option in Hona.

  • If this is a Litify integration, select the Litify option in Hona (this enables Litify-specific features).

  • After entering your credentials, click Update Connection in Hona.

⏳ App Activation Time

It may take up to 10 minutes for your new app to become active.
During this time, you might see the following error:

goCopyEditerror=invalid_client_id&error_description=client%20identifier%20invalid

This is normal—just wait a few minutes and try again.

Add Hona Enabled Field

Steps:

1. Go to the Contact or `Opportunity` object and click ⚙️ → Edit Object → Fields & Relationships

2. Add a new check box field called `Milestones Enabled`
