How to create and manage various roles for your contacts that will allow for multiple contacts to be associated with a single project

Multiple Contacts on Projects

Note: This guide is for non-integrated Hona instances. If you have an integration set up today, please contact your account manager for specialized setup instructions.

Overview

The Multiple Contacts feature allows you to associate multiple stakeholders with a single project in Hona. This functionality is especially useful for keeping multiple people up to date on what’s happening with a case.

Setting Up Multiple Contacts

Creating Roles for Multiple Contacts

  1. Navigate to Company Settings in the main navigation bar

  2. Click "Contact Roles"

  3. Click the “+” button in the top right corner to create a new contact role

  4. Fill in the name of the role

  5. Choose whether or not to allow this role to opt out of automatic updates

Adding Contacts to a Project

  1. From the Projects page, select the project that you’d like to add additional contacts too

  2. Click “Edit Project” in the “Action” menu in the top right of the project details page

  3. Under the “Client(s)” section of the project editor, search for contacts that already exist or create a new contact

  4. Optionally, you can edit the role of the contact once it has been added to the project by clicking on the role chip near the “x” button

    • Select the target role

  5. Be sure to click “Save” in order to enact the desired changes

Managing Contact Permissions

You can adjust the role for the contact on the project.

  1. From the Projects page, select the target project

  2. On the “Details” tab, you will see a section for Contacts

  3. On an individual contact, click on the Role chip and then select the new target role.

    1. Optionally, you can create a new role from here as well
