Business = Business/Law Firm who invested in Hona
Hona (Business) Org = Hona Org managed by the Business
Business User = An individual account within a Hona Business Org
Just like there are many employees at 1 Business, there are many Users in 1 Hona Org.
Client = General term for the end-user of the Hona Portal. Also used to differentiate between an active Client of the Business and a...
Lead = potential Client of the Business. This term is specifically used when necessary to separate end-users if utilizing Hona for both Clients and Leads. You can safely assume that features which are usable for Clients can also be utilized for Leads, unless stated otherwise.
Hona Portal = Digital interface where Clients interact with Hona features configured by Business
Good to know Hona terms:
"Project" is the Hona term used to define "case" or "matter"
CMS = Case Management Software (often used interchangeably with CRM)
Messages = Back and forth text messages between Business and Lead/Client, delivered through Hona's 2-Way Messaging feature
Client Notifications = Alerts sent to Clients to notify them of Hona features configured by Business.
Business Notifications = Alerts sent to Business Users to notify them of Clients engaging with the Hona features configured by the Business. Each Business User has their own Notification Settings.
Goal
By the end of this article, Business Users (you) will know how to create and send a Mass Message in Hona, whether to one Client or many at once, using the Projects dashboard and available configuration options for delivery, scheduling, and personalization.
Overview of Steps
1. Access Projects Dashboard
Log into app.hona.com and open your Projects dashboard to access all of your Projects in Hona.
2. (Optional) Filter Projects
If you only need to select a certain group of Clients, and not all of your Clients, you can use the "Filter" option to only display certain Projects on your dashboard. This will help you only select the Clients you intend to send your Mass Message to.
3. Select Recipients
Click the checkbox in the top left corner of your dashboard columns to select all Projects displayed on your dashboard. Or you can select each Project individually.
4. Create New Mass Message
Once you have your recipients selected, press Actions β Send Mass Message
5. Configure Mass Message + Send
Fill out fields below and then Send or Schedule.

Use Contact's Notification Preferences
If toggled on, your mass message will be sent according to each individual Client's notification preferences.
If toggled off, you will choose manually how you would like your mass message to be sent.
Delivery Method
Select the method you would like your message to deliver to your Client(s)
Send Now or Schedule
Send Now to send the message immediately after hitting send
Schedule Time to pick a date and time that Hona should send the message
Email Subject
If you selected a Delivery Method which involves Email, you will need to configure an Email Subject for the notification.
Reply-to Email
If you selected a Delivery Method which involves Email, this is where you will identify one of your Business's emails as the recipient for Client replies.
The email notification will send from your Hona domain, but if your Client's hit "Reply" to that email, their response will automatically configure to deliver to the email chosen here instead of your Hona domain.

Attach File
Select a file from your device and attach it to send with your mass message. Make sure your file is smaller than 5 MB to ensure successful delivery.

Why do I not see the option to select more than one Project on my dashboard?

Mass Messaging is a part of our "Bulk Actions" tool, which is only part of our Elite packages or higher. If you do not see this option available in your Hona Org, it is likely because you are on our Pro package or below.

I need to schedule a message, but only to 1 Client, not multiple. Can I use this feature to do that?
Yes! The "Mass Messaging" feature can be used to schedule any message, even if it is only to 1 Project. You will see the "Number of Contacts Selected" at the top of the preview window when you're crafting your message.
