📲 How to Install the Hona Client App

The Hona Client App makes it easy for you to stay updated on your case and communicate securely with your legal team. Follow the instructions below to get started.


🟦 iPhone (iOS) Instructions:

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone.

  2. Tap the Search icon at the bottom.

  3. Type “Hona Client” into the search bar.

  4. Find the app named Hona Client and tap the download icon (cloud with arrow or “GET”).

  5. Once downloaded, tap Open.

  6. Log in using your credentials (provided by your law firm) or follow the sign-up instructions.


🟩 Android Instructions:

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.

  2. Tap the Search bar at the top.

  3. Type “Hona Client” and search.

  4. Tap on the app named Hona Client by Hona, LLC.

  5. Tap Install and wait for the app to download.

  6. Once installed, tap Open.

  7. Log in using your credentials or follow the on-screen prompts to set up your account.

How to Enable Push Notifications in the Hona Client App

Push notifications allow you to receive timely updates from your law firm through the Hona Client App. This guide will walk you through enabling push notifications on both iOS (Apple) and Android devices.

🟦 iPhone (iOS) Instructions:

  1. Open the Hona Client App on your iPhone or iPad

  2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner

  3. Scroll down and tap "Account"

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the screen where you'll see "Push Notifications"

  5. Tap the "Notify Me" button

  6. When prompted, tap "Allow" to give Hona permission to send you notifications

  7. The "Notify Me" button will change to "Settings," which you can tap to adjust your notification preferences

  1. Open the Hona Client App on your Android device

  2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner

  3. Scroll down and tap "Account"

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the screen where you'll see "Push Notifications"

  6. A system permission dialog will appear asking if you want to allow Hona to send notifications

Managing Notification Settings

iOS (Apple)

After enabling notifications, you can manage them in your device settings:

  1. Go to your device's Settings app

  2. Scroll down and tap "Hona Client App"

  3. Tap "Notifications"

  4. Here you can customize:

    • Allow Notifications (toggle on/off)

    • Sounds

    • Badges

    • Banner Style (Temporary or Persistent)

    • Lock Screen appearance

Android

After enabling notifications, you can manage them in your device settings:

  1. Go to your device's Settings app

  2. Tap "Apps" or "Applications"

  3. Find and tap "Hona Client App"

  4. Tap "Notifications"

  5. Here you can customize:

    • Allow Notifications (toggle on/off)

    • Show notifications silently

    • Notification categories (if applicable)

    • Importance level for different notification types

Troubleshooting

If you're not receiving notifications on iOS (Apple):

  1. Check that notifications are enabled for the Hona app:

    • Go to Settings > Notifications > Hona Client App

    • Ensure "Allow Notifications" is toggled ON

  2. Verify that Do Not Disturb is not active:

    • Check the Control Center (swipe down from top-right corner)

    • Make sure the crescent moon icon is not enabled

  3. Check your internet connection:

    • Notifications require an active internet connection

    • Try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data

    • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve notification issues

If you're not receiving notifications on Android:
